Philipson & Frank was founded in 1985 by Kristian Franck, theater technician, and Niklas Philipson, engineer. For more than 25 years Philipson & Franck had provided scenery and stage technical services. The combined competence in terms of set design and decorative building got its frame in a hundred productions. Everything from musicals and theater productions to the studio building for television, trade shows, exhibitions, events and commercials. They built up a reputation for quality and high levels of service.
In order to meet the growing demand for advanced technical products Philipson & Franck, together with Jim Fainberg and Stefan Löfgren, formed Visual act AB in 2000. Since that time Visual act has become a leading supplier of stage control systems, delivering permanent installations to major cultural institutions and equipment and services to live shows throughout Europe.
In 2010 Visual act merged with Philipson & Franck. Advanced modern stage technology merged with great theatre knowledge and expertise. Today they stand firm as one!
